Build your list of clinics and doctors
FreeThe List is your clinics and doctors. There are three ways to build it, and they mix freely — import a file today, add a new clinic by hand tomorrow. Monthly targets, visit notes and the visiting calendar are never part of a List file.
1Import a spreadsheet
From Clinics or Doctors, tap the import icon — or open Settings → The List → Import The List. The wizard accepts .csv, .txt, .xlsx, .ods and ZIP. Excel 97–2003 .xls files are not supported: open one and save it as .xlsx first.
You do not have to tidy the file up first. The wizard finds the header row itself, reads merged cells, and skips section headings. A workbook with two or more sheets asks you to assign each sheet; a single-sheet file or a ZIP goes straight to review.
Review is the step that matters. It shows the structure it found, the columns it could not match, the rows it skipped, and the values it guessed — and you can correct any mapping before a single row is written. A clinic needs a name; a doctor needs a name, a specialty and the clinic they belong to.
Clinics are committed first, then doctors, in one transaction, so a doctor can be matched to a clinic from the same file. Duplicates are skipped rather than doubled: in the wizard a clinic is a duplicate when the name already exists, while the import button on Clinics and Doctors is stricter and needs name + city + district to match. A doctor is a duplicate on both paths when the phone number already exists, or the same name is already in the same clinic.
2Import a colleague's list
Ask them to open Settings → The List → Export clinics + doctors. That shares a file called repvisit-list.zip holding clinics.csv and doctors.csv — and only those. Their targets, notes and schedule are not in it.
You import that ZIP with Import The List. The columns are: clinics — name, address, city, district, maps, latitude, longitude, class; doctors — name, specialty, phone, WhatsApp, clinic (the clinic's name, not an id), class, preferred time from, preferred time to.
3Add a clinic by hand
Clinics → add. Fill in the name, then the Location block. You can search, which opens Google Maps; paste a Google Maps link and the app expands short links and proposes the address, city, district and coordinates; or type address, city, district, latitude and longitude yourself.
A clinic saves fine without a location — but weekly-plan clustering and the "time and distance" visit sort cannot place it, and it will sort last.
4Add a doctor by hand
Doctors → add. Enter the name and specialty, pick the clinic by name, and add a phone or WhatsApp number so the visit screen can dial or message.
Set the preferred days and the preferred time window if the doctor only sees reps at certain hours. Auto-generate honours both when it builds your week.
5Share your list back
After you save your second hand-typed clinic, the app offers to share The List so a colleague can import it. You can also trigger it any time from Settings → The List → Export clinics + doctors.
This export deliberately carries only the shareable roster. To move everything — including sales, debts, samples and expenses — use Settings → Your data → Export business data, which is also free.
